SNAG is committed to protecting your personal information. In order to provide you with SNAG services, we may need to collect personal information about you. We will collect personal details appropriate to the service you choose to sign up for.

What information do we collect?
If you sign up for SNAG membership or Metalsmith magazine subscription, purchase items, register for an event, apply for an opportunity, etc., you will be asked to provide your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. When you provide your email address to SNAG, you are giving us your permission to send you emails.
You can manage your contact details by logging in to your online account or contacting the SNAG office. An unsubscribe link will always be provided within emails that we send out to our email lists. You can choose to unsubscribe at any time. We are in the process of updating our systems, with a goal of being able to better tailor our emails to individual preferences in the near future. We estimated the update to occur mid-2019.
If online payment is collected, your financial details will be held by Authorize.net (on snagmetalsmith.org) or Stripe (on snagspace.org), and not by SNAG. If you make payment in person, your financial details will be held by Square, and not by SNAG. If you make payment by mail, your financial details will be kept by SNAG as long as is needed to do the transaction and then destroyed or held by our bank.
You can make a formal request for a list of any personal information SNAG is holding about you. You can also ask us to delete your personal information, but this may impact your access to some of our services. SNAG may retain your personal information until you notify us that you would like it deleted.
What do we use personal information for?
SNAG will use your information to provide services to you that you have requested and to send you information about additional opportunities in SNAG and in the field.
Will SNAG share my personal information?
SNAG does not rent or sell email addresses. We may occasionally send out emails with news from other organizations and businesses; these emails are usually labelled as “Sponsored” in the subject line.
For postal mailings, SNAG may periodically trade its member and magazine subscriber postal mailing list with select organizations/companies which exist within the jewelry and metals field, with all inquiries evaluated on a case-by-case basis and for one-time use only.
SNAG does not share financial information with anyone at any time.
If you are a member of SNAG, your contact information appears in the online Member Directory. You can select your privacy level to Private, Members-Only, or Public, by visiting your account settings or contacting SNAG.
When registering for the conference, you will be asked if you would like your contact information included in the post-conference attendee list. Your email address may also be shared with the conference Vendors Room companies.
We collect statistics about your website visit based on your IP address. This information helps us understand website traffic and browsing preferences so that we can improve our website and services. We do not use this information to identify you as an individual. The website may contain cookies from 3rd parties.
Through the SNAG website you are able to link to other websites which are not under the control of SNAG. We have no control over the nature, content and availability of those sites. The inclusion of any links does not necessarily imply a recommendation or endorse the views expressed within them.
How do we protect your personal information?
SNAG uses appropriate organizational and technical security measures to protect your data. Information is held in a secure environment and is password protected. However, please keep in mind that no internet, email, or mail transaction is completely secure or error-free.
