I used to try forcing what inspired me, but my heart kept going back to my childhood. The plants in the gardens, the wedding dresses being hemmed, and home are what continue to inspire me. Most of my childhood was spent in the flower gardens and running around the woods, where nature became part of me. It was not until many years later that I realized that I had another influence. When I was not with flowers and trees, I was surrounded by lace, doilies, and string. The ability to sew was not passed down to me, but the patterns and memories were.
Marci Yeager was born and raised in the small town of Hadley, Pennsylvania, where the influence of family and the love of art first sprouted. She earned her BFA in Metalsmithing from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2012. Marci currently resides an hour North of Pittsburgh, in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania.
